We are raising funds to improve the school grounds.

There will be an adult only cycling event on Friday 26 April cycling from school to Jackson's Boat (a choice of either 12 miles or 20 miles) - all parents/carers/teachers welcome!

AND on Saturday 27 April there will be a whole school family fun event starting at 10am at Cringle Park - any wheels will do for Alma Park on Wheels! Come along and have fun and raise money for your school!

Over the last year Alma Park has been working closely with a group of parents on a grand plan to transform the way we use our outdoor space in our education. There are lots of exciting changes in the pipeline and the first of which is to convert the back of the junior playground into a garden to be used by every class throughout the whole school year. Our children will learn about how to grow fruit, vegetables and flowers from seed, how to look after a garden, and use the garden as inspiration across the different subjects.

We are very excited to make this a reality! We have estimated that we will need a minimum of £15k to realise the gardening project. We are in the process of fundraising for a grant, already have some school funding towards the project, and with the help of this years Alma Park on Wheels event we hope to raise enough to fully match fund the project!
