Alpha FX are raising money for SUDEP Action in memory of our friend and colleague Ella Tunney, who tragically passed away as a result of an epileptic fit.

SUDEP stands for Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy. Although most people with epilepsy live long and healthy lives, there are still at least 21 epilepsy deaths every single week, many of which SUDEP Action's studies show, could have been avoided. SUDEP Action's goals focus on providing information and awareness on the risks of epilepsy, offering support to bereaved families, including free bereavement support and sponsoring research and education to prevent future deaths.

SUDEP is a cause we at Alpha feel personally connected to, following the tragic loss of our colleague, Ella Tunney who sadly passed away as a result of an epileptic fit. For those that werent lucky enough to know Ella, she joined Alpha at the age of 19 when the Company was little more than a handful of people. Over the seven years she was with us, she built the settlements department from the ground-up, upon which now sits a publicly listed company employing over 100 people. Quite rightly she went on to become a Partner, and was without doubt respected as much as she was loved. It is a real privilege to be able to support a charity in her name.

This May bank holiday (23rd-25th) the Alpha Team have pledged to collectively cover a distance of 4,000 miles as a company. This represents the distance between our London, Toronto and Amsterdam offices. We are running, cycling, walking and even swimming this distance with our aim to collectively raise a minimum of £1 for every mile (so £4,000 in total). We are grateful for any donation!!
