Organised by Jamia Madania Angura Muhammad PurJamia Madania Angura Muhammad Pur is a Muslim seminary located in Beani Bazar Sylhet. Established more than 60 years ago by the great Alims Shaykh Shihab Uddin, Ml Mokoddos Ali, Ml Mosoddor Ali, and Ml Abdul Hye.
To support Jamiah Angura, 2 waqf properties have been acquired in recent years in London (Elephant and Castle) and Birmingham through Qard Hasana Loans which have been repaid. We are aiming to complete the purchase of a third waqf property in Birmingham for £220 000. We have made a payment of £50 000 from the funds of Iqra Foundation UK and the remaining £170 000 was paid through Qard Hasanah loans received from the local people of the Jamiah Angura land other Muslim brothers in UK.
Our target this Ramadhan is to repay £70 000 of the Qard Hasanah loan. We humbly request 220 people to come forward and make a donation of £1000 this Ramadhan.
In 2024 we received £40 000 in Zakat. This year we are aiming to raise £30 000 in Zakat for the poor students of the Jamiah. We are humbly requesting 60 people to donate £500 from their Zakat this Ramadhan.
