Anson Playground of the Future

The children at Anson Primary School are coming together to raise money for much needed improvements to their school playground. Through a series of fund-raising events we hope to raise enough money to create a playground for the future.

Our ethos is to provide fun activities for the children and families of Anson while raising funds to support the school. We aim to follow the school vision and create a happy, friendly, and inclusive environment where children are confident and creative. We have become a registered Charity (1205603) and the money we all raise provides funds for school resources that are not met by the school funding formulas. Every parent and carer who has a child at Anson Primary School is automatically a member of Friends of Anson. We have a simple structure; parents, volunteers and the committee. The work that Friends of Anson does adds to the experience of each and every child at the school.

Story

The children at Anson Primary School are coming together to raise money for much needed improvements to their school playground. Currently, the playground is a large expanse of concrete with very little to stimulate the children, encourage active play or develop an inquisitive nature. There are limited opportunities to play games together, take part in high quality sport or provide facilities for our local community. Friends of Anson would like to work to make the necessary improvements.
