RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.

Story

The annual RNLI Clovelly to Appledore Lifeboat Station Walk will be taking place this year on Saturday 16 September.

The 16-mile walk follows the follows the stunning South West Coast Path.

Leaving Clovelly at 9am with frequent marshal posts, water and first aid cover, the walk should take approximately 5 hours, reaching Appledore Lifeboat Station in the afternoon, with transport back to Clovelly if required. One hundred people completed the walk last year raising over £3,000 in support of RNLI Appledore and many walkers have completed this event several times. We hope to double the amount raised in 2023. Every £1 raised will help support the RNLI in the South West. Walkers must be at least 13 years old and always accompanied by an adult if under 16.
