Darul Uloom Khulafa-E-Rashideen Waisa, Pakistan

Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth Quran 24:35. Light is one of the ninety-nine names of Allah. Light is that by which things become known.

By the Grace of Allah and through the dedication and sincerity of my uncle Maulana Siraaj (Imam of Masjid Bilal, Bradford) along with many other respected local villages, established Makki Masjid, in Pakistan, Waisa, in the late 1990s. This blossomed quickly into a Daarul- Uloom and acted as a blueprint for other Madrassas, and in subsequent years paved the way for 13 branches across Waisa.

So far (2022), the Daarul-Uloom (Please see below) has produced 159 Huffaz & 280 Ulama with very little resources. The Student numbers have grown to around 240 boys, and it also manages a female seminary with 120+ girls. Thirty-Five teachers are currently employed.

Current Daarul Uloom

Many of the students are either orphans, poor or the needy from around the CHACHH AREA {which includes 82 villages, approx. 1.2 hours from Islamabad}. All of which are provided with nutritious meals each day, clothing as well as shelter.

The Breakdown for the running and maintenance of the Darulooom is as per below:

£1,500 per month on Ulama Wages across 13 branches {35 Teacher}

£1,000 per month on Food, clothing, Accommodation {80-85% is food, of which main costs include flour/rice/meat & chicken}

£350 Electricity

£100-£150 Gas

£100 Ad hoc maintenance issues

TOTAL Approx. £37,200 per Year

OUR VISION

For those that have visited, the Daruloom is a centre of excellence where you feel a natural urge to get involved with the amals constantly taking place, from reciting the Quran to learning Islamic knowledge. It gives you a little feel to how Masjid Nabawi was at the time of the Prophet (Peace and blessings upon him).

Due to the blessed duas and fikr from the elders of the area, there has been many successes to date, one notable example is that of Omar-Khatab, from Tajuk. He achieved the number one place in the Wifaq-ul-Madaris exams, the most renowned exams in the whole of Pakistan.

Appeal

This is a great opportunity to invest for your own Akhira, where there will be students studying Quran, Islamic Jurisprudence, Qiraat and from here we will have Ulama/Fuqahah who will be well rehearsed, not only in the Islamic sciences but also in mainstream education.

Those who spend (in the cause of Allah) privately or publicly, by night and day, have their reward with their Lord. And (on the Day of Resurrection) they shall neither fear nor grieve. (Al-Baqarah 2:274)

As Ramadhan is very important for generating the funds for Zakat for these poor needy and orphaned children, we need your help now more than ever.

The Prophet S.A.W was asked which charity is best? He replied: that which you give while you fear poverty. (Sahih Bukhari No. 500)

This appeal is for everyone, be it £10 or more, there is no golden rule; every contribution is vital and makes a world of a difference for the unfortunate people. We take Zakaat, Fitrana, Lillah and Sadaqah (Please comment either of these when donating Jazak Allah).
