My name is Timothy. I have been blind since I was 3 years old, and I am also diagnosed with ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder). I am a Trustee of the Aquabats charity which organises sports and social events across the London area for visually impaired people. Because of my ASD I experience greater difficulties in socially relating to other people and communicating in a way they will always fully understand. Because of the combination of sight loss and ASD my life is full of challenges. So, I am immensely proud and honoured that Aquabats has agreed to support me attending the annual Visionary Conference at the Aston Conference Centre in Birmingham in late September this year. But I am worried because Aquabats is a very small charity indeed with a tiny annual income, which makes the Conference fee, including sighted help required, a large commitment to make. Please help Aquabats to support me and others in the future.
