Help Us Keep Ark John Keats Primary Classrooms Cool This Summer
At Ark John Keats, we want every child to learn in a calm, comfortable environment. As summer temperatures continue to rise, several of our primary classrooms become uncomfortably warm, making it harder for pupils to concentrate and for teachers to deliver high quality learning.
Recent research has shown that excessive heat has a measurable negative impact on learning, especially for younger children. Large scale studies have found that pupils perform significantly worse on hot school days — and that air conditioning is the single most effective way to remove this barrier, reducing the impact of heat on learning by as much as 80%.
We are therefore fundraising to purchase 12 portable air conditioning units for our primary classrooms. These units will help ensure that every child can learn, play and thrive in a safe, cool and comfortable space throughout the summer term.
Any contribution will make a real difference to our pupils’ daily experience in school. Thank you for supporting our community and helping us create the best possible environment for our children.
