Hello,

We are Ark Putney Academy and we are fundraising for our Year 13 Prom!

We are centred at the heart of Roehampton in Wandsworth. Our students live within the highest category of socio-economic deprivation in the borough and many are Free School Meals and work part-time to support themselves/family members. They have also been disproportionately affected by Covid and the many lockdowns. This included many of them never receiving a prom or any form of celebration when they finished their GCSE's.

In the face of this, they are a group of kind and aspirational young people who actively volunteer in the local community. This may be through volunteering at local hospitals, reading with local primary schools and mentoring vulnerable students across London.

We know many of you may have hosted these pupils for work experience, enrichment or know them directly. We would greatly appreciate any donations towards the celebrations. The students have been so hardworking and deserve a fantastic send-off this year!
