Why I'm Fundraising

Bath is a beautiful city, a World Heritage Site, full of history, opportunity and community. But alongside its beauty is a reality that many people never see.

Every day, people in our city face homelessness, poverty, addiction, poor mental health and isolation. Some are sleeping rough. Others are choosing between heating and eating. Many are simply trying to find hope after experiencing trauma, loss or crisis.

Last year, Bath Foodbank provided emergency food parcels to 9,258 people, including 2,905 children. At Genesis Trust Bath, the day centre welcomed over 10,000 visits from people looking for practical support, a hot meal, advice, friendship and a chance to rebuild their lives.

These aren't just numbers. They're people in our community. People with names, families and stories.

That's why I've committed to taking on a year of endurance challenges, including multiple triathlons, an Ironman and other events, to raise money for Genesis Trust.

Genesis Trust exists to support people facing homelessness, poverty and other forms of vulnerability across Bath. Through practical support, compassionate care and long-term opportunities, the charity helps people rebuild their lives, guiding them from crisis to independence and from despair to hope.

If you're able to support my challenge, no matter how big or small the donation, you'll be helping Genesis Trust continue to provide practical help and long-term support to some of the most vulnerable people in Bath.

May 17th: Outlaw 70.3 triathlon in Nottingham

June 13th: Titan 70.3 triathlon in Brecon

June 26th-28th: The Long Course Weekend in Wales

July 26th: Outlaw 140.6 triathlon in Nottingham

August: Date TBC – I will continue to engage with the community and seek support for the causes of Genesis Trust.

September 13th: Ironman Wales in Tenby
