Help Us Raise £10,000 for Creation Theatre’s Bursary Fund
This year, Creation Theatre is celebrating our 30th birthday — and as part of that celebration, we’re raising £10,000 for our bursary fund to help ensure that no young person is excluded from the arts because of cost.
"I love acting, making up stories, and using my imagination. I’m excited about meeting new friends, working in a team, and learning from people who do theatre for real. I want to be more confident and brave about sharing my ideas, and I think this will help me do that." - Student
Our education programme runs after-school classes, holiday projects, workshops, and creative opportunities for children and young people of all backgrounds. Alongside acting and performance, we offer opportunities in costume design, lighting, sound, animation, creative writing, design, and many other creative disciplines — because we believe there should be a place in the arts for every child.
Over the last year alone, the number of bursary places we’ve provided has quadrupled. Families are facing increasing financial pressure, while creative opportunities within schools continue to shrink. More and more young people need support to access the confidence, connection, creativity, and joy that the arts can provide.
"[Our daughter] has flourished in small, supportive environments that recognise her abilities and nurture her confidence. [Creation] offers the meaningful creative outlet she needs to provide a space where her vast imagination can grow and her self‑esteem can strengthen, despite the challenges she faces due to her parents health and family situation." - Parent
Your donation will directly help fund bursary places for children and young people who otherwise wouldn’t be able to participate.
It will also help us continue to:
Pay our brilliant freelance artists and workshop leaders fairly
Hire safe and welcoming community spaces for sessions
Keep our workshops accessible, high-quality, and inclusive
Ensure no child is turned away because of financial circumstances
We are a registered charity, so donations are tax deductible.
We know that taking part in the arts can be life-changing. We’ve seen young people grow in confidence, make lasting friendships, discover new passions, and find a sense of belonging through our programmes. With your help, we can continue opening those doors to even more children and young people.
"I love it, its so much fun, and the people...I cant explain why, I just do." - Student
Every contribution — large or small — makes a genuine difference.
Thank you for helping us make creativity accessible to all.
