We are walking the kilt walk to raise funds for Aruka, a charity that envisions creating better pathways in, through, and out of rehab and offering long-term relational recovery support.
The drug death problem in Scotland is once again on the increase, and there's never been a time when recovery support in Scotland has been more needed. Scotland has the highest drug death rate in Europe and is 3.5 times that of anywhere else in the UK.
We believe that support for timely access to residential recovery is vital to save lives, and that is the priority of our project.
We offer person-centred addiction recovery support, which depends on the individual's needs. We have launched our first Rehab Pathways project in Cumbernauld and Motherwell in partnership with Freedom City Church and Motherwell Baptist Church. The project is well underway, with regular 121 support, group work rehab referrals, and outreach taking place.
Our charity has just passed its first year as a registered charity, and we've taken on our first full-time and part-time employees. We require your support to sustain and grow our existing work. Please consider donating....
