Asher's Steps to Independence

Just4Children are fundraising for Asher to pay ongoing costs of physiotherapy, occupational therapy and hydrotherapy to enable him to be as independent and pain-free as possible in the future.

Following a "massive" stroke around the time of his birth, Asher was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. We knew so little about it then, but have strived to give him the opportunities to have fun and develop his skills, and enjoy his childhood.
We took Asher to St Louis for SDR aged 4. He is now 14 and would benefit from therapies that schools and the NHS are unable to provide: horse-riding (or hippotherapy); swimming (or hydrotherapy); intensive exercise to strengthen his muscle memory; and support to maximise his skills. There are some really exciting professionals who offer help unavailable on the NHS.
He is a gorgeous, fun, smiley boy, with a passion for science and animals. He brings laughter wherever he goes.
More recently Asher was diagnosed with ASC and ADHD, which make his progress even more remarkable. His paediatricians are amazed by his progress as we remain determined to do whatever we can to help our dear son.
