Simon Parker, Andrew Skuse and Phil Starling will be representing Ashtons Legal on 6 April 2025 at the London Landmarks Half Marathon. They will be running in aid of Young Lives Versus Cancer and Ashtons Charitable Trust.
The first £700 raised will be donated to Young Lives Versus Cancer. Any money raised over that amount will be shared equally between the five charities Ashtons Charitable Trust has pledged to support throughout 2024/25.
About the charities:
Every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Young Lives vs Cancer helps families find the strength to face everything cancer throws at them.
Their work is shaped around six core principles:
• Day to day support
• Financial support
• Providing “Homes from Home”
• Support for teens and young adults
• Bereavement support
• Campaigning.
The Trust was set up in 2014 by Ashtons Legal, and supports charitable causes and community groups in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Leeds (where Ashtons Legal have offices).
The staff-nominated charities who will receive funding from the Trust during 2024 and 2025 are: YMCA Norfolk, Young Lives vs Cancer, Foodcycle Cambridge, St Elizabeth Hospice, and Children’s Heart Surgery Fund.
