Story

The Silent Child - In Association with Deaflinks

Back in 2017 we supported The Silent Child and our Patron Rachel Shenton on her mission to make a short film to help raise deaf awareness. The films mission was simple, we wanted to start a conversation about deafness and sign language within education.

Years later the film has won over 50 international awards and screened all over the world playing to 3.5 millions viewers on the BBC One as well as bringing home The Oscar® to Deaflinks doors.

dDeaflinks Staffordshire are committed to actively supporting the equal opportunities of all dDeaf people in employment, training, services, information, and education. Providing vital services for the dDeaf community, giving them a voice, empowering independent living, breaking down barriers and improving access to services.

Just imagine if everyone could sign.

We need your help so we can continue to offer and even expand our services. We're more than just a Charity, we're a Community!

All our love. Deaflinks Staffordshire.
