Assumption Grammar School’s choir, musicians and Irish Dancers have been invited to represent Co. Down in this year’s New York City’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday 16 March. The students will also be visiting and working alongside St. Vincent Ferrer High School, a Catholic girls’ school, where we will hold a joint concert on the 17 March at 2pm. This is a unique opportunity for our pupils to represent their country, county and school in what should be a once in a lifetime opportunity. However, this seven day trip is expensive and in order for all 70 pupils to avail of this wonderful experience, we must try to assist them financially. Your donations to this cause would be greatly appreciated and help to strengthen links with our Irish American friends for years to come.
