The Athelstaneford Community Group is responding to the community's calls for improvements to our local village park. We're excited to share that we're already on our way to creating an exciting masterplan design that reflects the desires and aspirations of our community members.

We're not just planning in isolation – we're all ears when it comes to your needs and dreams for the park. We're committed to engaging with the community, to ensure that the park design truly represents our collective vision. Your input will shape the heart of our park's transformation.

🎨 Our Progress So Far

Thanks to the generosity of East Lothian Council's 'Shared Prosperity Fund', we've secured two grants to a total of £6,750. This means we've been able to commission a skilled landscape architect (Liz Dorrian) who has recently undertaken the initial community engagement process. We have met with key stakeholders, including our residents, the School and East Lothian Council (the owner of the park). We will now move on to progressing the draft masterplan. This will be brought back to the community before finalising and submitting it for Planning Permission. To complete this work we need a further £3,000 (of which £205 has already been raised by Crowdfunding).
