At Adoption UK we are planning to support the importance of 'Play' in children's lives with our very own 'Teddy Bear's Picnic' across all four Nations of the UK! We hope to get as many families as we can involved in a play day full of picnicking fun! We would love you, your family, friends & your Teddies to join us on Wednesday the 5th of August, in your garden, park, house, bedroom, wherever!

As well as having fun we are trying to raise vital funds for the adoption community which we need now more than ever. Since COVID struck adoptive families have told us they are struggling to cope feeling increased pressure & lack of support. They are worried about how the transition out of lock-down will impact on their vulnerable children. We want to be there, to offer a lifeline & show them we care and that they are not alone. Through our advice & support services we can reach out to many families who are struggling & we know when we reach people the help we provide can make a huge difference. With increased funds we will be able to answer more calls from families in crisis & also reach out to those struggling & in need.

The difference your donation can make;

£5 enables Adoption UK Helpline to respond to a family struggling with the impact of self-isolation.

£10 will allow us to connect an adopter to an online peer support group

£25 will pay for a Parent Partner to provide a phone session of peer support to an adoptive family.

£50 pays for one family to gain a new self-isolation support pack, offering ideas, toolkits and strategies for supporting traumatised children.

£100 covers the cost of an online training session for a volunteer advice worker.

So, please give what you can in these difficult times. Every donation no matter how small really does make a difference. And of course each donation will give you a free entry in our prize Teddy draw!
