Anoopam Mission believes in serving God by serving humanity. Through the vision of its respected spiritual leader, Sant Bhagwant Sahebji, Anoopam Mission has committed itself to working in the areas of Health, Education, Relief, Rehabilitation, Social welfare, Spiritual and Cultural activities. The aim is to help those who need it the most, without any discrimination of caste, creed, color, gender or religion. Anoopam Mission Goals The Anoopam Mission undertakes its spiritual philosophy through a fusion of ‘bhakti yoga’ (the yoga of devotion) and ‘karma yoga’ (the yoga of action). Bhakti yoga is devotion to the Supreme Reality and includes prayer, chanting and meditation. But in actuality, it also goes much beyond this to incorporate a state of mind in which every word, thought and action is dedicated to the Lord. Karma yoga involves performing selfless service – expecting nothing by way of compensation, gratitude or praise – and humbly offering the results of the work to the Lord. The devotion to the Lord, which is inherent in both bhakti yoga and karma yoga, evolves out of dedication to the living guru who has attained the status of ‘Akshar’ – or oneness with God. Thus complete dedication to this guru leads the guru’s devotee to himself attain oneness with the ‘Purushottam’ – meaning the Supreme Reality or God. In summary, all of the Anoopam Mission’s actions and all the fruits of the actions are dedicated as humble offerings to the Lord.

Story

For over 50 years, the UK's Hindu community has sought permission to construct a dedicated crematorium. After overcoming significant obstacles, this dream was realized when Anoopam Mission UK received landmark approval in December 2021 to build a multimillion-pound, state-of-the-art crematorium serving the Hindu, Jain, and Sikh communities.

Anoopam Mission, part of a global Hindu charitable organisation, was established in the UK in 1978 (Charity Registration No. 274942). It represents one of the many branches of the Swaminarayan movement within Hinduism.

The AUM Crematorium is a project by the community, for the community, and its success relies on your support. This vision is driven by our collective identity as Hindus, Sikhs, and Jains. We invite everyone to join us in turning this long-awaited goal into a reality by contributing to our Sponsored Walk on 15th September 2024.

Please join us in raising funds for UK’s first Hindu crematorium by Anoopam Mission for the Hindu, Jain and Sikh community.

We extend our deepest gratitude for your support and contributions to this cause, which holds a special place in all our hearts.
