The Autumn Leaves Fund is a way of remembering a loved one through supporting other older adults in our community and ensuring they receive the care they need. It costs Glasgow's Golden Generation £1,000 to support one older adult in one of our day care centres for a year.

By setting up an Autumn Leaves Fund in memory of your loved one, you ensure that their memory will provide a lasting legacy through support to the elderly in Glasgow, some whom have no other relatives.

Many family members want to do something positive in the memory of a loved one. The Autumn Leaves Fund will make an ongoing difference to older adults in Glasgow ensuring the legacy of your loved one lives on.

Your Autumn Leaves Fund online page can also show donations made to the fund through other methods. You may have friends and family who give you a cash donation, for example, this can be added to the fund page as an offline donation. It could be that you attend another GGG event and want the funds raised from that to be added to your Autumn Leaves total. For example, if you bought a table for £300 for our Afternoon Tea you could add £300 to your offline total. Another example may be that several family members take part in a sponsored event. They can set up their own sponsorship pages but the totals can be added to your Autumn Leaves Fund total.

Anyone can set up an Autumn Leaves Fund in memory of a loved one and its really easy to do. By following the Autumn Leaves Fund Campaign link and completing the steps you will have your page set up and ready to go. We would recommend naming your fund using something like The Jane Smith Autumn Leaves Fund or similar so that it is clear to everyone what the fund is.

Your Justgiving page will have the name of your fund and you can share the link to it on your social media and by email to your friends and family. Every pound donated or raised in memory of your loved one will be spent in Glasgow, ensuring older adults across the city receive the care they need. Glasgow's Golden Generation has a range of services, including Welfare and Benefits Advice, 3 Day Centres, over 100 Weekly Clubs and Befriending service. All of these services work in partnership to alleviate poverty, loneliness and social isolation in older adults. Many of our service users have no immediate family, or perhaps live far from their loved ones. Glasgow's Golden Generation is there to provide and offer the support they need to live full and happy lives in their own home for as long as possible in their autumn years.
