Our fundraising ensures that Aviemore has its floral displays in summer, the winter lights in the winter and our Christmas Eve procession every year. Funds are also needed for ad hoc community projects we taken on to enable us to achieve our aim of making Aviemore a better place to live.

Story

Thank you!!

You've helped us to fundraise for a new play park for our children! We've reached our target, so we are on course to get Burnside Playpark back as an asset for the community.

The park at Burnside Road has been a favourite amongst the children of Aviemore for decades. On the way home from school or nursery it would be full of kids having fun and the parents having a natter but over the last few years it has been left to deteriorate into barely anything at all.

Over the last year or so there has been some chatter (and some moaning) online and at pickups about restoring the park but there was never a solid plan and no one to take the lead and say, “right let’s do this!”

Thankfully a group of us have come together to swing into action and get the ball rolling.

We really hope the parents and community of Aviemore can come together and help get the kids the BEST park they could ever wish for. They absolutely deserve it! 🥰

Working closely with The Highland Council we have consulted our children with the help of Aviemore Primary School and have a very clear idea what is required. Playground contractors have been contacted and will arrive in Aviemore in the coming weeks to submit their designs and quotes.

Luckily there are grants and funds we can tap into as well as traditional fundraising events which we also hope you can support us with.

Aviemore Community Enterprise, a registered charity, have kindly assisted this project, by allowing us to collaborate with them to use their existing resources, and will add oomph to our applications and allow us to come under their charity umbrella.

Please help us with your generous donations to get the money needed.

It really will take a village
