Keswick Lions Club are hosting A Walk in The Park on Sunday 18th August . This is going to be a good old fashioned sponsored walk and FUN Day in Lower Fitz Park, Keswick, Cumbria.

We are a group of local volunteers who have been supporting worthy causes and community events for over 30 years. In addition, we support national and international causes and respond to emergencies however and whenever we can.

Story

Keswick Lions Club are to host A Walk in The Park on Sunday 18th August . This is going to be a good old fashioned sponsored walk and FUN Day in Lower Fitz Park. Entrants over 16 are being asked to buy an entry for from one of three outlets in the town for just £2.00 (£1.00 under 16s) and are then being asked to try to raise £20 in sponsorship money for Keswick Lions who will then put the money raised to several charitable areas including Childhood Cancer, Disaster relief, Diabetes, Sight, Youth, hunger, our environment and other humanitarian causes.

The entry form includes a free prize draw with some seriously good prizes and will be drawn on the day.

The Keswick Lions are well known for the many organisations and individuals they support in the town

There will be dozens of activities and fun games going on during the day and entrants can turn up anytime within the hours of 10am and 6pm and walk as many or as few laps of the perimeter footpath of the park which is almost exactly one kilometre and takes about 12 minutes.

The walkers will be entertained by the Committed2Rock Choir, the Krazy Kickers and a host of entertainments including, weather permitting, a Paragliding accuracy completion from the top of Latrigg.

Many of the games will have superb prizes generously donated by local businesses, including a gurning completion with a top prize of £50.00.
