Story

For International Batten Disease Awareness Day this year, we're hoping to raise vital funds to go towards the work of the Batten Disease Family Association (BDFA).

We would love you to get involved with this year’s fundraising theme 'B for Batten' and take on a challenge or event beginning with B, to help us raise both funds and invaluable awareness of Batten disease.

Head to our website here for some brilliant 'B' ideas to help get you inspired: http://www.bdfa-uk.org.uk/international-batten-disease-awareness-day/

Alternatively, any donations made to this page in honour of Batten Disease Awareness Day would be greatly appreciated.

Be bold and brave with your ‘B for Batten challenge’ and help us reach our target!

The BDFA supports families affected by Batten disease, a rare and terminal neurodegenerative condition which affects children and young adults. Our mission is to enable children and adults who are affected by Batten disease to live life to the full and to provide families with the care and support they need so that they do not walk this path alone. The BDFA offers informed guidance and support to families and the professionals who work with them, as well as actively raising awareness, and promoting research into the management of Batten disease to improve patient care pathways and ultimately find a cure.
