Help The B12 Alliance: Parliamentary Reception & National Awareness Drive

Help the B12-Alliance transform lives! Our 10th September House of Commons event aims to modernise B12 deficiency care. We need £30k for the reception, evidentiary films, and media kits. Simple solutions exist—help us deliver them!

We provide information, help and support to sufferers of Pernicious Anaemia (PA) including their families and friends. Our Mission: To secure a full and comprehensive review of the way in which Pernicious Anaemia is diagnosed and treated that will lead to more timely diagnoses and better treatment

Story

Vitamin B12 deficiency is a silent crisis. Despite its potential to cause irreversible neurological damage, thousands of patients in the UK still face outdated diagnostic protocols, misdiagnosis, and inadequate treatment.

We hear the same stories daily: patients being told their levels are "normal" while their health declines, or being denied the frequent injections they need to live a functional life.

The B12 Alliance is saying: Enough.

The Event: Taking Our Message to the Heart of Government

On 10th September 2026, the B12 Alliance will hold a crucial Parliamentary Reception at the House of Commons.

This isn't just a meeting; it is a high-level advocacy event designed to bring MPs, health policymakers, and leading medical experts face-to-face with the reality of B12 deficiency.

Our goal is to secure commitment for patient focused treatment, modernised diagnostic standards, ensuring greater understanding of the risks of untreated or undertreated deficiency.

What We Are Raising Funds For

To make this happen and ensure our message reaches far beyond the walls of Westminster, we need to raise £30,000. This funding will be used for:

The Parliamentary Event: Hosting costs, room hire, and bringing key patient advocates to the House of Commons.

Professional Documentary Materials: Producing high-quality video testimonies or a short documentary to "put a face" to the statistics for policymakers.

Media & Campaign Briefings: Professional PR and media kits to ensure national news coverage around the event.

Educational Materials: Creating evidence-based toolkits for patients to take to their GPs and for clinicians to use in practice.

This is our chance to change the future of B12 treatment in the UK. By standing together, we can ensure that no patient is left to suffer in silence."

How You Can Help
