🚀 Help Us Reach New Heights – Balfron Scouts Balloon Relaunch

Earlier this year, our Scouts launched a high-altitude balloon packed with excitement, science, and hope. Sadly, the mission didn’t go as planned: a damaged cord broke shortly after lift-off, and our balloon was lost to the skies. It was heartbreaking, but what followed was heartwarming. Our young people showed resilience, empathy, and positivity in the face of failure. They supported each other, learned from the experience, and immediately asked: “When can we try again?”

We’re planning a spring relaunch, and we need your help to make it happen.

🧮 What We Need

To rebuild and relaunch, we must replace key components and cover essential costs for replacement balloon, probe box, helium and insurance.

This isn’t just a balloon, it’s a launchpad for curiosity, teamwork, and real-world STEM learning. Our Scouts are designing experiments, solving problems, and discovering how science works in practice. They’re also learning how to handle setbacks with grace and determination.
