Join Us for BMRG’s Charity Fundraising Walk: Supporting Walking with the Wounded
We are thrilled to announce London Barclays Military Resource Group’s (BMRG) upcoming charity fundraising walk in partnership with the esteemed charity Walking with the Wounded (WWTW). This special event will take place on 12 September and offers a unique opportunity to support our military heroes while exploring the historic streets of London.

- Finish Point: St. Paul's Cathedral

Whether you're an avid walker or prefer a shorter stroll, our 10-mile walk is designed to accommodate all fitness levels. Participants can choose to complete the full route or any of the three legs, depending on your ability and preference.
What to Expect:
- Guided Tour: Our walk will be led by a renowned tour guide, an expert on London's wartime history and author of two acclaimed books on the Blitz.
- Historical Insights: Discover fascinating stories and landmarks from the era of the Blitz and other wartime events as you journey through London's iconic streets.
- Supporting a Great Cause: Proceeds from the event will go to Walking with the Wounded, a charity dedicated to assisting wounded veterans in their transition to civilian life.
(Participants are welcome to raise money for their own charities if they choose).

How to volunteer, Fund Raise and register for Fund Matching with Barclays:
1. Volunteer: Colleagues can use time in the work day to volunteer in support of this event to but need to obtain line manager approval.
2. Choice: Colleagues must be certain that your choice of charitable organisation or the decision to volunteer must be your own, and not unduly influenced or requested by others e.g. line manager, colleague, client or customer, or the charity.
3. Matching: Colleagues can apply to have one personal donation or one active fundraising, matched by Barclays once per calendar year, up to £1,000 (or local equivalent). This must be done after the activity for their chosen charity has taken place.
