Story
Help us stay connected
In accordance with Government guidance, we made the difficult decision to close our day centre on the 20th March for the safety of our guests, staff and volunteers.
However, we are determined that none of our guests will be left feeling isolated and alone at this time.
Our team are working harder than ever to connect with our guests, through phone calls, texts, and sending greetings cards with vouchers we are able to ensure that they have enough to eat and clothes to wear.
We are determined to do more including setting up virtual group activities such as a book club, mental health group and our recovery and abstinence group.
Give today and help us keep our community connected and to do more.
Meet Robert
Robert had been a regular guest at the project throughout the winter period. He was staying in a night shelter but came to us for our practical services and support during the day.
We are pleased he is now accommodated in a hotel however meals had not been provided, so we bought vouchers and then worked with him to ensure that meals were provided. Through this work we have discovered he is very isolated, has only thirty minutes internet connection a day and feels forgotten.
We will therefore continue to maintain regular contact via phone and by posting cards to him so that he knows he is cared for.
You are like a family to me" - Robert
We will continue to be there for Robert throughout this uncertain and difficult period.
How your donation will make a difference
Your donation will enable us to continue to support guests like Robert, so we can ensure that during this period no one is forgotten.
