Story
Since our launch in 2019, Manchester Baroque has built a reputation for engaging and vibrant performances of historical music, enriching the lives of diverse audiences. Our first Full Season 2019-2020 was cut short after the pandemic meant that our final two concerts had to be cancelled. The last time we performed together on stage was in March 2020.......We need your help!
Baroque Reborn is Manchester Baroque's Post-Pandemic Relaunch: A series of concerts that aim to reunite, reinvigorate and recapture the spirit of Manchester, as we emerge together from the pandemic.
Baroque Reborn Season April-June 2021:
Saturday 10 April 2021 Family Reunited: Godfather, Father, Son (Live Stream - Stoller Hall, Manchester). Music by J.S. Bach, his son C.P.E. Bach, and godfather Telemann. The concert aims to reunite music lovers through the power of historical performance, celebrating togetherness through live and streamed music.
Saturday 8 May 2021 Baroque Reborn (Live Stream - Stoller Hall, Manchester). A concert of Baroque Concertos featuring Manchester Baroque's dynamic soloists. Manchester Baroque will also engage in a free study-day for students from across the region (online) at Chetham's School of Music (7 May 2021), allowing us to contribute to much needed learner-support for A Level Music students through live music.
Friday 25 June 2021 Musick in Manchester (St. Ann's Church, Manchester). The latest in our series of concerts which recreates the first ever concert series in Manchester 1744/45. Through new research by our Artistic Director Dr Pauline Nobes, join us as we revive, refresh and reinvigorate the cultural history of Manchester.
