Made For More is a Christian organisation set up by Jamie Meaklim; a teacher with 8 years teaching experience. During his time working within the education system he witnessed first hand the turmoil that is unfolding in the lives of our young people across the country.
I see such a lack of identity and purpose in young people across schools and youth organisations in Northern Ireland; young people who seek fulfilment from alcohol, drugs, sex and social media, but do not find it. Directly linked to these is evidence of a dramatic increase in low self-esteem and mental health issues among the young people of Northern Ireland.
Jamie left his job as a teacher and stepped out in faith to set up a Christian organisation that would meet the needs to the young people of Northern Ireland. This organisation is called Made For More.
Made For More aims to inspire and engage a generation of young people in their communities and schools; to educate and equip them with the knowledge needed to value who they are and make positive decisions, for a more purposeful future.
We deliver 4 workshops in schools across the country that focus on: Mental Health, Self-Esteem, Drugs and Alcohol. Our aim is to make this affordable and accessible to all schools and pupils.
