Brian said, “I didn’t want to get up or leave the house, but I knew we had training. That was enough to get me moving. I felt like a different person afterwards. I'm so glad I had training to look forward to, I haven't run like this in years.
For the last 3 years, each May, football has come home to people in Manchester who are impacted by homelessness.
This year, on Friday 8 May 2026, Booth Centre FC, made up of players with lived experience of homelessness, will step onto the pitch to face The Rest of the World. For many, this isn’t just 90 minutes of football. It’s a celebration of resilience, community, and second chances. In the stands, supporters gather not only to cheer goals, but to stand beside people rebuilding their lives.
Every penny raised will go directly towards supporting people in Manchester who are impacted by homelessness, poverty , and the immigration system.
If you can't make it, you can still support the team!
