On 22nd September 2019 the exhilarating Bowel Cancer West Total Obstacle Race 2019 gets underway - with teams and individuals racing against the clock to beat bowel cancer.
Starting on South Milton Sands and plunging through the Estuary, across the rolling Devon hills and hurtling towards 18 challenging obstacles to test the stamina, speed, agility and psychological strength of our competitors. With ice baths, monkey ropes and slurry filled dark pits, the racers will have the comfort of our fabulous food and refreshments at the Race Village in their mind! With entertainment for the family, stunning Devon scenery, the golden sands of the beach and children's activities - Total Obstacle is a whole family day out for both the serious extreme runner and those who prefer to have some fun and test their bodies to the limit!
Bowel Cancer takes the lives of 42,000 people each year and is the second biggest killer amongst the cancer types in the UK. You may not be able to race, or be with us on the 22nd September - but your support, however small, boosts the motivation of our racers and makes the world of difference to our work in providing education, awareness raising and researching to reverse the power of bowel cancer to destroy lives.
Whether you can offer some time to volunteer, make a small donation here, or share our Event and campaign on your own networks - every tiny action counts in the race against bowel cancer. Thank you for your support - and maybe we'll see you there... registration is now open and for all racers raising £100 in sponsorship, entry is completely FREE!
Thank you from all the BCW Total Obstacle Team.
