Story

Beacon's Boys to take on the dizzy heights of the 5 Peaks Challenge!

On the 19th August 2023 Nathan, Alastair and Josh will be setting off to conquer the Lake District 5 Peaks challenge and venture across 14 miles (22km) and tackle five of England’s most demanding peaks, including its highest – Scafell Pike.

One of the adventurers is Alastair who is an IT, Digital & Assistive Technology Trainer and has worked at Beacon for two years,

The reason for doing the Five Peak Challenge is because I've been helping Nathan since he lost his sight and he's always pushing himself. I wanted to aid him on his journey and share this experience together. I love to see the difference and positive impact that Beacon makes to peoples lives. I'll be proud to fly the Beacon flag at the top of each peak."

Help fuel their determination to succeed in this amazing adventure, all money raised with support the sight loss community.

We cant wait to follow their progress in this epic journey, good luck boys!
