Organised by University of Northern ColoradoBear Panty provides food and other essential items for students who are facing food insecurity. The Bear Pantry helps alleviate the pressures of having to choose between basic necessities and the required costs of college.

Food insecurity continues to be a huge challenge for college students today. For students, not knowing where their next meal will come from has huge negative psychological and academic impacts and keeps them from finishing their degree.
The Bear Pantry is a collaborative initiative on the UNC campus to assist students in our community who are faced with food insecurity. Having a food pantry on the UNC campus ensures that all students in our community have the resources they need to take their focus off where their next meal is coming from and back to their studies.
Since the start of the program in 2014, the Bear Pantry has had over 6,000 visits from UNC students. Due to COVID-19 we are seeing an increased need from students who otherwise may have not needed this service. Your gift to the Bear Panty will ensure that no UNC student has to decide between textbooks or food.
