Emergency food parcels

The need for our emergency food bank has increased 10 fold. We need help from the public to keep it stocked up. We are asking for donations to purchase food to keep our food bank stocked. We are supporting those in need daily.

We are a community-based, grassroots charity. We use the profits made from our shop to support our in-shop emergency food bank and to run our very own support system where a family or individual can apply for advice, food parcels, furniture, white goods, clothes and much more!

Story

The Betty Ennis foundation was set up in memory of community activist Betty Ennis. Known locally as the 'Queen of Willenhall', Betty was a driving force for a lot of community change in Willenhall, Coventry and after she passed away in August 2019, her family and the community wanted to continue her legacy. The foundation supports struggling families in Coventry. Since the rising cost of living we have seen a huge increase in people needing to use our emergency food bank to support them for a few days to bridge the gap between using main food banks. With lots of individuals coming to us and telling us they've been told they can not use the free food bank more than a few times over the space of six months leaving them with no food to support themselves and their families. Our emergency food bank is being used daily time and time again and we have completely ran out. We are trying our best to keep it stocked up with our staff and volunteers also adding to it but we need some help from the public to feed our community.
