Befriend a Childs Summer Appeal offers you the chance to help make summer memories for the children and young people we support.

By taking part in our appeal, you will be helping to give local children and young people living in difficult life circumstances across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire the opportunity to make happy memories, something that they might not be able to do without our help.

The need for our services has sadly increased with 48% more children being referred to Befriend a Child than last year.

Your donation to the Summer Appeal will ensure these young people are given the opportunity to experience new and fun activities through our summer playschemes and outings. These activities will not only allow the young people to have fun with their befriender or mentor, but they will also help them to develop the skills required to deal with the challenges they face.

We may not be able to replace the difficult memories from their past, but we can help create new, happy memories.

Your donation of:

£10 could pay for a trip to the beach for an ice cream

£15 could pay for a trip to the Stonehaven outdoor pool and an ice cream

£20 could pay for a child's trip towards an amusement park

£25 could pay for a child's trip to Go Ape

£30 could pay for a small group of children's activities in the park

£50 could pay for 5 children to go trampolining

£100 could pay for craft materials for 12 children for summer playscheme
