Salam Charity was founded in 2011 with the aim to help fight poverty and transform lives. Every night over 800 million people go hungry and nearly 6 million children die each year from preventable diseases. Salam Charity aims to tackle this by providing lifesaving meals, clean water, sanitation, clothing and education. This will allow everyone to realise their birthright of living a happy life by developing their full potential. Salam Charity works in many countries around the world with a particular emphasis on the Rohingya emergency crisis. Salam Charity has a five year strategic plan which will focus on bringing a positive and lasting change in the lives of those affected by poverty. Our aim is to empower people for them to be in charge of their own destinies. We endeavour to support households, local communities and national institutions to develop longer term collective approaches to reinforce their capacities to better respond to, mitigate and prevent humanitarian emergencies and hunger crises. Supported by global celebrities, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and social media influencers, We have one important mission: to save and change lives for the better. We will do what it takes to bring humanity closer to a world free from hunger and poverty.

Story

A massive explosion has rocked Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. It is feared that hundreds of people have been killed and thousands injured, in what has been described as one of the worst disasters the country has ever seen.

The source of the catastrophe is yet unknown, but officials are working hard to find the cause of the disaster. The he city has been thrown into mass confusion in the aftermath of the massive blast that has been felt as far afield as Cyprus.

Salam Charity is on the ground with our partners in Lebanon, to provide much needed food, healthcare and shelters for those who have been affected. We will be offering medical attention to people on ground zero, by providing trained doctors and nurses who will administer first aid and primary healthcare.

Please support the Salam Charity Lebanon Emergency Fund to enable us to provide food parcels for families, emergency shelters and medical aid, including bandages, temporary operating theatres, painkillers, antibiotics, blood banks and equipment to facilitate primary healthcare to those affected by the explosion.

£50 can provide food for a family during the crisis

£150 can help towards temporary operating theatres, medical equipment, doctors, nurses and blood banks.

£250 can provide an emergency shelter to keep people safe
