Each year staff at Belzona Polymerics Ltd nominate several charities and then vote to select two to support for the year ahead. For 2021 we are delighted to be fundraising for Yorkshire Cancer Research as one of our chosen charities.

Yorkshire Cancer Research aim to ensure that every year at least 2000 more people survive cancer in the Yorkshire Region. Each year they fund £10 million of vital cancer research and it's all for the benefit of the people of Yorkshire.

They work in local communities to reduce the risk of developing cancer in the first place by focusing on those at high risk and on particularly prevalent cancers. The charity also helps people understand the signs and symptoms and fund vital screening to help identify the earliest signs of cancer so it can be treated sooner when theres greater likelihood of recovery.

We have several fundraising events planned over the next few months including our Cutest Pet competition, Euros Sweepstake, Belzonas BIG Chocolate Raffle and our main event, the Snowdon Sunrise Challenge on 8th August, when 37 of us will be climbing Mount Snowdon overnight to reach the summit at sunrise.
