Story
About
Water Eaton Community Hub is a membership-based community larder that rescues surplus food from landfill and redistributes it locally. We also run a welcoming café with free lunches and hot drinks, plus a space to connect and access support.
We believe food waste shouldn’t exist and everyone should be able to afford nutritious food. Your support helps reduce waste, protect the environment, and help people facing financial hardship.
Event
On Saturday 25th July, we’ll trek 18 km up Ben Nevis—the UK’s highest mountain—starting and finishing in Fort William (western Scottish Highlands). We’ll climb 1,345 m to raise vital funds for Water Eaton Community Hub.
How you can get involved
Want to join the challenge? The sign-up fee is £120—please contact Ron.overton@stfrideswides.org for details. If you’d rather not climb, you can still support us with a donation.
