Surrey County Scout Council oversees scouting activities in Surrey. An important part of our remit is running the Bentley Copse Activity Centre located in Surrey Hills near Guildford. We are raising funds to develop and update the outdoor activities on the campsite.

Story

Bentley Copse welcomes around 20,000 young people and leaders from Surrey and further afield every year to enjoy camping and activities in an area of outstanding natural beauty. We welcome Scouts, Guides, schoolchildren, those undertaking Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions, local children for birthday parties and commercial clients. Some of our older activities and buildings are in urgent need of renovation or replacement, and we have plans to build a new indoor Archery and Climbing Frame building. We aim to raise £750,000 to match our own fundraising to complete the work over the next three years.
