Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge

Organised by Bexley Deaf Centre

Bexley Deaf Centre and Bexley Deaf Club will be taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge to raise valuable funds for local projects supporting Deaf people in the community.

Closes 16/06/2025

We have represented Deaf and hard of hearing people in Bexley for over 30 years. We campaign for equal access to services and information, for our Deaf and hard of hearing communities and also offer many other services and activities. These services are accessed over 10,000 times every year.

Story

On Saturday 31st May 2025, Bexley Deaf Centre and Bexley Deaf Club join forces to complete this iconic challenge. Set in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, we will be taking on Yorkshire’s three tallest peaks, Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-ghent, all in 12 hours!

These peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The route is extremely scenic and provides spectacular views over the Yorkshire countryside which we look forward to enjoying.

We've been in training for months as this challenge cannot not be taken lightly! We will complete an ascent of 1,532m – higher than the UK’s largest mountain, whilst covering the distance of almost a marathon! The terrain is extremely varied involving some steep ascents and descents.

The best view comes after the hardest climb
