Story
The Dorothy Clive Garden was created with love - and has flourished for nearly 70 years thanks to the care of people like you. Now, we have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to extend this beautiful sanctuary and deepen its role in our community.
We have recently purchased 3.4 acres of adjacent land which, with your help, can be transformed into a thriving arboretum - home to distinctive tree collections, new paths to explore, beautiful wildlife and countless opportunities for learning and reflection.
Our Vision:
- Create a nationally recognised collection of trees, shrubs and wildflowers
- Support climate resilience and increase biodiversity
- Provide a living classroom for education and training
- Offer space for reflection, relaxation and improved wellbeing
- Enhance the sustainability of the garden for future generations
We now need to raise funds so that we can redevelop our new land from farmland to woodland garden. This will require the purchase of seeds, bulbs, shrubs and trees; earthworks and grass seeding; pathway creation and fencing; gardeners and contractors; and finally educational signage, benches and artworks.
From the planting of the first saplings to the establishment of full canopies, as a supporter you will be able to follow the journey of this remarkable landscape.
