This year Brighton Housing Trust (BHT) celebrates its 50th birthday.
From humble beginnings at a hostel in central Brighton, BHT has grown to become one of the largest charities working with homeless people in East Sussex, with services in Brighton & Hove, Eastbourne and Hastings. Over the last five decades, BHT has helped people with complex needs to secure safe accommodation, overcome barriers to work and learning, and address issues such as addiction, poverty and mental health and move away from homelessness.
BHT relies on the generosity of the local community to help keep many of our services operating and ensure we can reach everyone who needs our support.
In our 50th year, we are seeking to raise £50,000 from generous individuals.
In the last year:
Donations received through this appeal will go directly towards the running costs of our services, helping those who need it most, people who are experiencing poverty, isolation, exclusion or homelessness. Our mission is to combat homelessness, create opportunities and promote change. We want you to be a part of that change. Thank you.
