Since 1963 Wirral Mencap has been supporting adults with learning disabilities, along with their families and carers, across the Wirral.
Our mission is simple but powerful: to improve the lives of adults with learning disabilities by providing opportunities, services, and support that encourage independence, confidence, and connection. We also work to make the Wirral a more accessible, inclusive, and supportive community for everyone.
We offer a wide range of services including:
- Courses such as English Skills, Walking Football, and Money Skills
- The Gateway Award (similar to the Duke of Edinburgh)
- Weekly social clubs
- Health awareness sessions
- An Information, Advice, and Advocacy Service
...and much more!
These services are designed to break down barriers, build skills, and empower the people we support to reach their full potential.
This June, we are launching the Big 5K Drive to raise £5,000 to fund our wonderful courses. These courses help the people we support to be more independent, boost their confidence, and feel more connected to their community.
With your support, we can make a lasting impact.
