Little Valley Animal Shelter is an independent animal welfare charity which forms the Devon Branch of the RSPCA.
We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, rodents and other small animals who are the victims of cruelty or neglect. As well as caring for animals that have been brought in from the RSPCA Inspectors, we also take in animals from the general public who can no longer care for their pets due to changes in their personal circumstances.
We have been established for over thirty years and during this time the shelter has undergone many changes and made improvements to benefit the animals in our care. Most recently we completed our kennel rebuild and prior to that our cattery and small animal area. Now it is time for the bunnies to get the VIP treatment.
2023 is Year of the Rabbit in the Chinese zodiac and represents new beginnings, good health, happiness and good fortune. So this is a great time to launch our Big Rabittary Rebuild project!
With your help, we are aiming to raise Β£5,000 to fund the kitting out of our brand new rabbitry building with everything the rabbits need to be happy and healthy while they wait for their new homes. Your donation will help us create enriching spaces complete with new beds, bedding, toys, hiding places and much more. Outside spaces will be created for warmer months where our bunnies can hop around and suitable bonding areas can be set up to introduce rabbits to each other gradually and safely.
We thank you in advance for your donations and support.
We will also be running a series of events and talks about rabbit welfare during the year to educate and inform people the local community.
