DMT Dachshund Rescue & Support Group is a registered charity (SCO51269) with the sole purpose of rescuing dachshunds from the meat trade and kill shelters in Asia and bringing them to loving homes in the UK
To date (May2024) we have rescued 211Dachshunds and dachshund crosses from the meat trade, breeding facilities and kill shelters in China and Korea. We also work proactively with other rescue organisations and support them to rescue other breeds.
In January, we were alerted that there were 12 dachshunds in China being thrown out by a breeder. Two mums who he could not breed from anymore and their recent litters. We brought them into our care and made sure they would be safe forever.
They became the "tv gang" being named after characters in popular American tv shows.10 Puppies Alex, Joey, Ellis, Phoebe, Meadow, Randall, Jackson, Judy, Barney and Penny. Alongside their 2 mums Bree and Dorothy. With our help, they are all safe and healthy. Bree has mammary tumours and deformed front legs which she has been receiving treatment for.
Lennox will be able to fly around the same time, he was an abandoned pet because of health issues his owner couldn't be bothered with
They will be ready to fly to the UK to their forever homes in late summer 2024, at a massive cost of £42,000. Our team of volunteers and supporters will be working hard to raise these funds through various means and one of these is a mammoth sponsored walk to cover at least one flight at £3,500.
So we need your support with these efforts By donating to our cause, you're not just contributing to a flight ticket; you're giving these dogs a chance at a brighter future. Every donation, no matter how big or small, makes a significant impact. Together, we can provide these dogs with the opportunity for a fresh start, filled with love, compassion, and the warmth of a caring family. Your support will not only change their lives but also fill your heart with the joy of knowing you've made a difference.
Together, let's pave the way for their journey from China to the UK, one paw at a time. Donate now and be a part of their incredible story of hope and resilience.
