As a self-funding branch of the Greyhound Trust, run by volunteers, they rely entirely on public donations and the homing of greyhounds, where the adoption fee goes straight back to bringing another greyhound in.
With the loss of major events throughout the year we have had to come up with imaginative ideas to raise money whilst understanding that incomes across the country were being affected. We could not have homed over 50 greyhounds and brought in over 30 in that period without that monetary assistance.
As long as we can, the volunteers and Committee will work hard to home greyhounds in our care, and it is wonderful to say we have managed to home over 120 since January. All due to a lot of hard work, a change in how we work and sheer dedication which continues with no events in the future to now.
