Our AMURT team prepares and distributes food for the homeless, those in insecure accommodation or those who are vulnerable one Saturday a month in Birmingham city centre. We started in March 2022 and fed about 50 people. In September 2024 on one Saturday there were around 107 food boxes distributed.
From rice and veggie dishes of the beginning, the menu expanded and nowadays it consists of staples such as rice and dhal, but also of pasta, salad, tea, coffee as well as cakes and sandwiches provided by Greggs.
Currently the Feeding programme is organised on the first Saturday of each month.
