Be Kind Movement was established with the aim of celebrating and amplifying the power of kindness through education. Our purpose is to promote the development of emotional intelligence skills in children and young people through acts of kindness.

Story

As a result of COVID-19 and the Government measures that have been put in place, we are unable to deliver our Kindness in School Programme. This is an extremely isolating and anxiety-inducing time for children but by joining us and taking part in the 2.6 Challenge you can still help us to reach children with our message of kindness, at a time when they need it the most.

We are asking you to take part by completing a fun challenge related to the number 26 and donate or fundraise for us. Anyone can take part and you can do your activity anywhere but please make sure to follow government guidelines on social distancing and exercise. The activity can be anything and you can be as creative as you like.

The Challenge launches on 26 April, what would have been the date of the 40th London Marathon, and you can get involved by following this link https://twopointsixchallenge.justgiving.com/get-involved?charityId=832843. Make sure to share your challenge on social media with the #kindnessduringcovid #twopointsixchallenge and tag us in your post - we would love to see as many of you getting involved as possible!

By fundraising for us as part of the 2.6 Challenge, you will be helping us to build photography and video content to ensure we can continue to reach children with our message of kindness, which will equip children with the skills and confidence to talk about their feelings of loneliness and their mental health. Not only will you be helping children deal with the immediate situation, your support will have a long term impact as we believe an emotionally intelligent child will be more likely to be happy, to do well academically and grow up to be a confident adult, contributing positively to society and community.
