Story

At Burger King UK, our goal is to have a positive and long-lasting impact on the communities we serve across the UK. Our partnership with UK Youth is a key part of this ambition. We believe that all young people should be empowered to build a bright future, regardless of their background or circumstance.

UK Youth is a leading national charity that exists to ensure all young people aged 9 to 25 are equipped to thrive and empowered to contribute at every stage of their lives. UK Youth provides young people with life skills, delivered through a network of local youth organisations which make up the UK Youth Movement.

We'll be working together across the UK to raise as much money as we can for UK Youth, as well as raising awareness of the positive impact of youth work and ensuring that our restaurants are safe community spaces.

Our fundraising will help UK Youth support young people like 15-year-old William:

At 15 years old William was at risk of exclusion from school and had recently lost his best friend to knife crime. Following a referral from his school to a local youth club, William was approached by Nathaniel - an outreach youth worker in Williams community in Birmingham. Nathaniel encouraged William to take part in a UK Youth programme that used music to engage young people, unlock new skills, realise their potential and build their aspirations for the future. William thrived, making new friends, developing a new skill in spoken word poetry and becoming a peer mentor supporting other young people through the programme. Three years later William and Nathaniel have set up their own youth organisation to continue helping disadvantaged young people through the power of music.

Help us ensure that more young people like William have access to the life-changing impact of youth work.

£10 could provide a youth worker with training and resources to help tackle inequality and encourage safer communities

£20 could enable youth workers to support young people to tackle loneliness and improve their wellbeing

£50 could enable a youth worker to teach basic digital skills to young people who are digitally excluded
