Our local Bridport Leisure Centre has been the heart of our community for years - a place where families swim together, friends stay active, and people of all ages and abilities come to feel welcome.

However, our current changing facilities are limited and no longer fully meet the needs of our diverse community. Many families struggle with cramped spaces, disabled people face real barriers to access, and LGBTQ+ individuals don’t always feel comfortable or safe. This means too many people in our community are missing out on the joy and health benefits of swimming.

That’s why we’re raising £30,000 to build brand new Family and Accessible Changing Facilities. These modern, inclusive spaces will treble the changing capacity and double the showers for these groups, creating a welcoming environment for everyone — families with young children, wheelchair users, trans and non-binary people, and carers alike.

This upgrade isn’t just about bricks and mortar. It’s about making sure every person in Bridport and the surrounding area can enjoy our pool without stress or exclusion. It’s about building a truly inclusive community centre we can all be proud of.
